Upon purchasing a record by German electronic composer Edgar Froese in a downbeat shopping mall on the Gold Coast, Howard and Thomas began Weekend Immendorff. Weekend Immendorff is an electronic music and video collaboration that detours German and other Electronic Music and synthesises these collisions with video montage. Their music is spontaneous – adhering to the maxim “there are no wrong notes” just opportunities for improvisation. 

Below is a recent work made as a video component for a performance at Backbone in Brisbane. This work includes music made by the current configuration of WI featuring Callum Galletly, recorded in the sculptors qld shed and footage shot by Suzanne Howard in Penang.
